Pain management is a crucial aspect of post-operative care, aiming to enhance patient comfort and recovery. Music therapy has emerged as a non-pharmacological intervention to alleviate pain and promote overall well-being. This research project explores the impact of music therapy on pain management in post-operative patients through a randomized controlled trial. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing pain levels and improving patient outcomes following surgery. Chapter 1 introduces the background of the study, highlighting the significance of effective pain management in post-operative care. The problem statement addresses the challenges faced in traditional pain management approaches and the potential benefits of music therapy. The objectives of the study are outlined to evaluate the impact of music therapy on pain levels and patient recovery. Limitations and scope of the study are discussed, along with the significance of the research in advancing post-operative care practices. The chapter concludes with the structure of the research and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review on music therapy and pain management in post-operative settings.
