Telehealth has emerged as a valuable tool in healthcare delivery, offering innovative ways to provide patient care remotely. This research project aims to explore the impact of telehealth on patient care within a long-term care facility setting. The study will investigate how the implementation of telehealth technologies affects the quality of care, patient outcomes, and overall healthcare delivery in long-term care facilities. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. The research will begin with a comprehensive literature review to examine existing studies on telehealth in long-term care facilities. This review will provide a theoretical framework for understanding the potential benefits and challenges associated with telehealth implementation. The methodology chapter will outline the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques utilized in the study. Quantitative data will be gathered through surveys and patient records, while qualitative data will be collected through interviews and focus groups. Findings from the study will be discussed in chapter four, highlighting the impact of telehealth on various aspects of patient care, such as access to healthcare services, communication between patients and providers, and health outcomes. The discussion will also address the challenges and limitations encountered during the implementation of telehealth technologies in a long-term care facility setting. Recommendations for future research and practical implications for healthcare providers will be provided.
