Telemedicine, the use of technology to provide healthcare remotely, has emerged as a promising solution to address healthcare disparities in rural areas. This research project explores the impact of telemedicine on healthcare delivery in rural areas, with a specific focus on nursing practices. The study is guided by the overarching aim of evaluating the effectiveness of telemedicine in improving access to healthcare services, enhancing patient outcomes, and optimizing healthcare delivery in rural communities. The research methodology involves a case study approach, focusing on a specific rural area where telemedicine services have been implemented within nursing practice. Data collection methods include interviews with healthcare providers, nurses, and patients, as well as analysis of patient records and telemedicine usage statistics. The study aims to assess the perceptions and experiences of stakeholders regarding the implementation of telemedicine in nursing practice and its impact on healthcare delivery. The literature review provides a comprehensive overview of existing research on telemedicine, rural healthcare, nursing practices, and the impact of technology on healthcare delivery. Key themes explored in the literature review include the benefits and challenges of telemedicine, the role of nurses in telemedicine services, and the implications of telemedicine for healthcare access and quality in rural areas. Findings from the study are expected to contribute to the understanding of how telemedicine can enhance healthcare delivery in rural areas, particularly within the context of nursing practice.
