This research project delves into the intricate relationship between music and mental health, focusing on how music influences and enhances wellbeing. The study aims to investigate the therapeutic effects of music on mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, the project examines various studies and theories that highlight the positive impact of music on mental health outcomes. Furthermore, the research methodology involves qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather data from participants who engage with music as a form of therapy. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study and outlining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 consists of a detailed literature review encompassing ten key themes related to the influence of music on mental health and wellbeing. This section synthesizes existing research findings and explores the theoretical frameworks that underpin the therapeutic benefits of music.
