The rise of antibiotic resistance among pathogenic bacteria has become a major global health concern, prompting the search for alternative antimicrobial agents. Essential oils derived from various plant sources have shown promising antimicrobial properties, making them potential candidates for combating pathogenic bacteria. This research project aims to investigate the antimicrobial properties of essential oils extracted from local plants against pathogenic bacteria. The study will begin with a comprehensive review of the literature on essential oils and their antimicrobial activities. Various studies on the antimicrobial effects of essential oils against pathogenic bacteria will be analyzed to provide a solid background for the research.
