Antibiotic resistance among bacteria poses a significant threat to public health worldwide, especially in hospital settings where infections are more common and often more severe. This research project aims to investigate the antibiotic resistance patterns of bacteria isolated from hospital settings to better understand the scope and implications of this growing issue. The study will focus on identifying the types of bacteria present, their resistance profiles to common antibiotics, and any trends or patterns that may emerge. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key items related to antibiotic resistance in bacteria isolated from hospital settings. This chapter will explore existing research, theories, and findings to provide a solid foundation for the current study. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the study design, sampling methods, data collection techniques, laboratory procedures for isolating and testing bacteria, and data analysis approaches. This chapter will detail how the research will be conducted to ensure reliability and validity of the findings. Chapter Four presents the discussion of findings, analyzing the antibiotic resistance patterns observed in the bacteria isolated from hospital settings.
