Point-of-care testing (POCT) has emerged as a valuable tool in modern healthcare settings, offering rapid diagnostic results that can influence clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. This research study aims to investigate the impact of POCT on patient outcomes in a clinical setting. The study will explore how the timely availability of test results at the point of care influences treatment decisions, patient satisfaction, and overall healthcare quality. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the study, presenting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 consists of a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to POCT and its impact on patient outcomes. Chapter 3 details the research methodology, including study design, participant selection, data collection methods, data analysis techniques, ethical considerations, and potential limitations. Chapter 4 presents a detailed discussion of the research findings, including the effects of POCT on treatment timelines, patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and clinician decision-making. The chapter also explores potential challenges and benefits associated with implementing POCT in a clinical setting.
