Code-switching, the practice of alternating between two or more languages within a single conversation or sentence, is a common phenomenon among bilingual individuals. This study aims to investigate the impact of code-switching on language processing in bilingual individuals. The research is motivated by the need to understand how bilinguals navigate between languages and the cognitive effects of code-switching on language comprehension and production. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two conducts a comprehensive literature review, exploring existing research on code-switching, language processing in bilinguals, cognitive effects of bilingualism, and relevant theoretical frameworks. Chapter Three details the research methodology, outlining the research design, participants, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques. The chapter also discusses the ethical considerations and limitations of the study.
