This research project aims to explore and analyze the influence of social media on language use and communication patterns, focusing on the various ways in which social media platforms have shaped and transformed the way individuals communicate and express themselves. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms related to the study. Chapter Two consists of a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies and theories on the impact of social media on language use and communication patterns. The review covers topics such as the role of social media in language evolution, the impact of social media on communication styles, and the influence of social media on linguistic diversity. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, data collection methods, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations.
