The rapid growth and widespread use of social media platforms have significantly impacted language evolution and change in contemporary society. This research study delves into the dynamic relationship between social media and linguistic transformations, aiming to analyze the various ways in which online communication platforms influence language evolution. Through a comprehensive literature review, the study explores the existing scholarly works on the subject and identifies key trends and patterns in the evolution of language in the digital age. Chapter One of the research project provides an introduction to the topic, offering a background of the study and outlining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the research. Additionally, key terms related to the research are defined to establish a common understanding of the concepts discussed throughout the study. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review, encompassing ten key themes that have emerged in the scholarly discourse on the influence of social media on language evolution. This chapter critically examines existing research to identify the main factors driving linguistic changes in the digital environment and explores the implications of these changes on communication patterns and language norms. Chapter Three focuses on the research methodology employed in the study, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and analytical approaches utilized to investigate the research questions.
