This comparative study aims to investigate the effects of bilingualism on cognitive development in children, comparing bilingual and monolingual children across various cognitive domains. The research will explore how bilingualism influences cognitive processes such as memory, attention, problem-solving, and language acquisition. The study will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative assessments and qualitative observations to provide a comprehensive analysis of the cognitive abilities of bilingual and monolingual children. A sample of children aged 5 to 10 years old will be recruited from diverse linguistic backgrounds to ensure a representative study population. The research will begin with a thorough literature review to establish the theoretical framework and existing evidence on the topic.
