This research project delves into the impact of social media language on communication patterns through a sociolinguistic lens. By examining various aspects of social media language, such as abbreviations, emojis, slang, and linguistic innovations, this research seeks to uncover the underlying mechanisms that drive communication dynamics in online environments. The research methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of linguistic features with qualitative examination of user interactions. Through content analysis of social media posts, interviews with users, and surveys, this study intends to provide a comprehensive understanding of how social media language shapes communication patterns and influences interpersonal relationships.
