The implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in libraries has gained significant attention in recent years as a means to enhance resource management efficiency. This research study explores the potential benefits, challenges, and implications of integrating RFID technology in libraries for effective resource management. The study aims to investigate the current state of RFID technology adoption in libraries, identify key issues faced by libraries in implementing RFID systems, and propose recommendations for successful implementation. The research begins with a comprehensive introduction to the topic, providing background information on RFID technology and its applications in library settings. The problem statement highlights the inefficiencies and limitations of traditional library management systems, leading to the need for innovative solutions such as RFID technology. The objectives of the study are outlined, focusing on evaluating the impact of RFID technology on resource management efficiency in libraries. The literature review chapter explores existing research and case studies related to RFID technology implementation in libraries. Ten key themes are identified, including benefits of RFID technology, challenges in implementation, user acceptance, data security, cost considerations, and best practices for successful deployment. The research methodology chapter details the approach taken to collect and analyze data, including surveys, interviews, and observations in selected libraries. Findings from the study are discussed in chapter four, highlighting the experiences and perspectives of libraries that have implemented RFID technology.
