In a rapidly evolving digital age, libraries are faced with the challenge of adapting to new technologies in order to meet the changing needs of their patrons. Small public libraries, in particular, often struggle to keep pace with the digital transformation that is sweeping the information landscape. This research project aims to address this gap by developing a Digital Library Management System specifically tailored for small public libraries. The research begins with a comprehensive examination of the current state of small public libraries and the challenges they face in managing their collections and services in a digital environment. This includes an exploration of the limitations of existing library management systems in meeting the unique needs of small public libraries, as well as an analysis of the scope and significance of the proposed system. The literature review in this research project delves into ten key areas related to digital library management systems, including trends in library technology, best practices in library management, user experience design, data security, and scalability. Drawing on insights from existing research and case studies, this chapter provides a solid theoretical foundation for the development of the new system. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in the design and implementation of the Digital Library Management System for small public libraries.
