Abstract
This research study investigates the impact of information literacy instruction on academic success among undergraduate students in Library Science Education. In recent years, the importance of information literacy skills in higher education has become increasingly recognized, as students are required to navigate a vast amount of information in order to succeed academically. The study aims to explore how information literacy instruction influences the academic performance and success of students pursuing a degree in Library Science Education. The research will be guided by a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The study will involve collecting data through surveys, interviews, and academic performance records to assess the relationship between information literacy instruction and academic success among undergraduate students. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, including background information, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on information literacy instruction and its impact on academic success. The literature review will identify key themes, trends, and gaps in the literature that will inform the current study. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including research design, sampling methods, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques.
