Project Abstract

This project aims to investigate the effectiveness of library automation systems in academic libraries, addressing the growing need for efficient information management and retrieval in the digital age. Academic libraries play a crucial role in supporting the research, learning, and teaching activities of their respective institutions. The adoption of library automation systems has been a significant step towards enhancing the accessibility, organization, and dissemination of information resources. However, the evaluation of the effectiveness of these systems is essential to ensure that they are meeting the evolving needs of library users and optimizing the utilization of resources. The project will examine the implementation and performance of library automation systems in several academic libraries, providing a comprehensive assessment of their impact on library operations and user satisfaction. The study will employ a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. The first phase of the project will involve a thorough literature review to understand the current state of research in this domain, identifying best practices, challenges, and emerging trends in library automation.
