The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in various sectors has brought about significant advancements and efficiencies in operations. In the realm of criminal justice systems, AI technologies are being increasingly utilized to streamline processes, enhance decision-making, and improve overall outcomes. This research study aims to critically analyze the legal implications of implementing AI in criminal justice systems, focusing on the potential benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations associated with this technological integration. The research begins with an exploration of the background of the study, providing insights into the evolution of AI technologies and their adoption in the criminal justice domain. The problem statement highlights the pressing need to evaluate the legal ramifications of AI applications in criminal justice to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in decision-making processes. The objectives of the study are to assess the impact of AI on legal frameworks, examine potential biases and discrimination in AI algorithms, and propose recommendations for effective AI governance in criminal justice systems.
