Abstract
This research study aims to investigate and assess the sustainable livelihood strategies implemented by rural farming communities to improve their quality of life and economic well-being. Rural areas are often characterized by limited access to resources, infrastructure, and economic opportunities, leading to challenges in livelihood sustainability. The primary objective of this study is to identify the various livelihood strategies adopted by rural farming communities and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing resilience and promoting sustainable development. The research methodology involves a mixed-method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. A sample of rural farming households will be selected through stratified random sampling to gather information on their livelihood strategies, income sources, asset ownership, and overall well-being. In-depth interviews and focus group discussions will be conducted to gain insights into the perceptions and experiences of community members regarding their livelihood strategies. The literature review will explore existing theoretical frameworks and empirical studies related to sustainable livelihoods, rural development, and community resilience. Key concepts such as asset accumulation, diversification, social capital, and adaptive capacity will be examined to provide a theoretical foundation for the research. Findings from the study are expected to contribute to the understanding of sustainable livelihood strategies in rural farming communities and provide insights into the factors that influence their adoption and success. The results will also inform policy recommendations and interventions aimed at promoting sustainable development and poverty reduction in rural areas. In conclusion, this research seeks to shed light on the challenges and opportunities faced by rural farming communities in achieving sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment. By assessing the effectiveness of current strategies and identifying areas for improvement, this study aims to support community-led initiatives and policy interventions that promote resilience, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability in rural areas.
