This research study aims to investigate the impact of sustainable agricultural practices on household food security in rural communities. The importance of sustainable agriculture in ensuring food security for rural populations cannot be overstated, particularly in light of increasing environmental degradation and climate change challenges. The study will focus on assessing how the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices influences food security indicators such as availability, accessibility, utilization, and stability of food within rural households. The research will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Surveys and interviews will be conducted with rural households to gather information on their current agricultural practices, food security status, and perceptions of sustainable agriculture. Additionally, key informant interviews with agricultural experts and community leaders will provide valuable insights into the broader context of sustainable agriculture in rural communities. The literature review will explore existing research on sustainable agricultural practices, food security, and their interrelationships. Key themes to be addressed include the benefits of sustainable agriculture, challenges faced by rural communities in achieving food security, and the role of government policies and programs in promoting sustainable agriculture.
