Colonialism has left a deep and lasting impact on indigenous cultures around the world, particularly in Africa. This research project examines the effects of colonial rule on indigenous cultures in Africa, focusing on how colonial powers imposed their cultural, social, economic, and political systems on indigenous populations. Through a comprehensive case study approach, this research delves into the specific ways in which colonialism disrupted traditional cultural practices, social structures, and belief systems of indigenous African communities. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study and presenting the problem statement. The objectives of the study are clearly defined, along with the limitations and scope of the research. The significance of the study is highlighted, emphasizing the importance of understanding the impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures in Africa.
