This research study focuses on analyzing the pivotal role of diplomacy in resolving international conflicts, with a specific case study of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Cuban Missile Crisis, which occurred in October 1962, marked one of the most intense episodes of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. The crisis brought the world to the brink of nuclear war and highlighted the importance of diplomatic negotiations in averting catastrophic conflict. The research begins with an introduction that sets the context for the study, followed by a detailed background of the Cuban Missile Crisis, outlining the events that led to the escalation of tensions between the superpowers. The problem statement identifies the central issue of the research, focusing on the effectiveness of diplomacy in managing international crises. The objectives of the study are to analyze the diplomatic strategies employed during the Cuban Missile Crisis, assess their impact on conflict resolution, and draw lessons for contemporary diplomatic practices. Limitations of the study are acknowledged, including the availability of primary sources and the inherent complexities of international relations.
