This research project delves into the effects of colonialism on the indigenous cultures of Nigeria and Kenya, providing a comparative analysis to understand the nuances of colonial influence in these two distinct African nations. The study aims to explore how colonial rule has influenced the cultural identities, traditions, and societal norms of the indigenous populations in Nigeria and Kenya, shedding light on the complexities of post-colonial societies. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. The chapter sets the stage for the comparative analysis of colonial impact on indigenous cultures in Nigeria and Kenya.
