Project Abstract

The project aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKOs) in Africa and the Middle East, two regions that have been the focus of significant international attention and intervention. The goal is to examine the successes, challenges, and overall effectiveness of these operations, providing valuable insights into the role of the United Nations in conflict resolution and post-conflict stabilization efforts. The project's importance lies in the fact that the African and Middle Eastern regions have been plagued by numerous complex and protracted conflicts, often with far-reaching humanitarian consequences. The UN's peacekeeping operations have been instrumental in attempting to restore stability, protect civilians, and facilitate the political and economic recovery of these war-torn regions.
