Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that is having profound effects on coastal erosion processes worldwide. This research project aims to analyze the impact of climate change on coastal erosion processes in order to better understand the mechanisms driving these changes and to develop strategies for mitigating their effects. The study will focus on assessing the relationship between climate change indicators such as sea level rise, extreme weather events, and changing precipitation patterns, and their influence on coastal erosion rates. The research will be conducted using a combination of field surveys, remote sensing techniques, and numerical modeling to quantify the extent and rate of coastal erosion in selected study areas. By analyzing historical data and conducting field measurements, the study will identify trends in coastal erosion rates and assess how these trends correlate with climate change indicators. The research will also investigate how different coastal environments, such as sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, and estuaries, are affected by climate change-induced erosion processes. Furthermore, the study will evaluate the effectiveness of existing coastal management strategies in coping with the impacts of climate change on erosion processes. By comparing the observed erosion rates with predicted rates based on climate change scenarios, the research aims to provide insights into the resilience of coastal environments to future climatic changes.
