The advent of social media has revolutionized the way people communicate, connect, and share information globally. Despite its numerous benefits, there is growing concern about the impact of social media on mental health. This research project aims to conduct a cross-cultural analysis to explore the relationship between social media usage and mental health outcomes in different cultural contexts. The research will begin with a comprehensive introduction that discusses the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of key terms. Chapter two will present a detailed literature review comprising ten key studies that have explored the impact of social media on mental health. This section will highlight the existing research gaps, theoretical frameworks, and methodologies used in previous studies. Chapter three will focus on the research methodology, outlining the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures. The chapter will also discuss ethical considerations, reliability, and validity of the research findings. Chapter four will present the findings of the study, examining the relationship between social media use and mental health outcomes across different cultural groups. The discussion will delve into the implications of these findings and provide insights for future research and interventions. Finally, chapter five will offer a conclusion and summary of the research project, highlighting the key findings, implications, limitations, and recommendations for future studies.
