The convergence of traditional art techniques and digital technologies in contemporary art production has opened up new avenues for artistic expression and creativity. This research project aims to explore the intersection of these two seemingly disparate worlds and investigate how artists are combining age-old practices with cutting-edge digital tools to push the boundaries of artistry. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, delving into the background of the study by examining the historical evolution of traditional art techniques and the emergence of digital technologies in the art world. The chapter also presents the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and defines key terms to provide a comprehensive overview of the research framework. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review that encompasses ten key aspects related to the intersection of traditional art techniques and digital technologies in contemporary art production. The review explores how artists are integrating traditional mediums such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking with digital tools like graphic design software, 3D printing, and virtual reality to create innovative artworks that challenge conventional artistic norms. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, encompassing eight key components such as research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. Through a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with artists and quantitative surveys, this chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the practices and perspectives of artists working at the intersection of traditional and digital art forms.
