Street art has become a significant aspect of urban culture, shaping the visual landscape of cities around the world. This research project explores the influence of street art on urban culture, examining how it reflects and interacts with the social, political, and cultural dynamics of contemporary urban environments. The study investigates the origins and evolution of street art, its impact on public spaces, and its role in challenging traditional notions of art and creativity. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two conducts a comprehensive literature review, analyzing ten key studies on street art, urban culture, public art, and related topics. In Chapter Three, the research methodology is detailed, outlining the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study. The chapter also discusses the theoretical frameworks and conceptual models guiding the research. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the research findings, including seven key themes identified through data analysis. These themes explore the cultural significance of street art, its relationship to urban development, its impact on community identity, and its potential for social change and activism. The chapter also examines the role of technology and social media in the dissemination and preservation of street art. Finally, Chapter Five offers a conclusion and summary of the project research, highlighting key findings, implications for urban planning and cultural policy, and recommendations for future research.
