Plastic pollution has become a critical environmental issue, particularly in marine ecosystems, posing significant threats to biodiversity and ecosystem health. This research project aims to assess the impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems and propose effective strategies for mitigation. The study focuses on understanding the sources, distribution, and effects of plastic pollution in marine environments, as well as evaluating the current management practices and policies in place. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research synthesizes existing knowledge on plastic pollution in marine ecosystems and identifies gaps in understanding and implementation. The methodology involves field surveys, data collection, and analysis to quantify the extent of plastic pollution and assess its ecological implications. The research findings highlight the pervasive nature of plastic pollution in marine ecosystems, with detrimental effects on marine life, habitats, and overall ecosystem functioning.
