Wetlands play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity and ecosystem functions, yet they are among the most threatened ecosystems globally. The restoration of degraded wetlands is increasingly recognized as a vital tool for conserving biodiversity and ecosystem services. This research project focuses on assessing the effectiveness of wetland restoration in biodiversity conservation. The study aims to evaluate the outcomes of wetland restoration efforts in terms of biodiversity recovery and ecosystem health. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and key definitions. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review, covering ten key aspects related to wetland restoration, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem services. Chapter three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. It also discusses the tools and techniques used to assess biodiversity and ecosystem health in restored wetlands.
