Wetland restoration has emerged as a key strategy to reverse the decline in wetland ecosystems and conserve biodiversity. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of wetland restoration in biodiversity conservation through a comprehensive study that integrates field research, data analysis, and literature review. The study begins with a detailed introduction to wetlands, highlighting their ecological importance and the threats they face. The background of the study provides a contextual framework for understanding wetland restoration efforts globally and the need for evaluating their effectiveness. The problem statement emphasizes the urgency of addressing wetland degradation and the critical role of restoration in biodiversity conservation. The objectives of the study outline the specific goals and research questions that will guide the investigation. A thorough literature review in Chapter Two explores existing research on wetland restoration and its impact on biodiversity conservation. The review covers topics such as wetland ecosystem services, restoration techniques, success factors, and challenges.
