The proper management of waste in urban areas is essential to promote environmental sustainability and public health. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas, with a focus on reducing environmental pollution and promoting resource recovery. The study will investigate current waste management practices, challenges faced, and the impact of these practices on the environment and community well-being. The research will be conducted through a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders in waste management. A thorough literature review will provide a comprehensive overview of existing sustainable waste management practices, their benefits, and potential areas for improvement. The study will also examine the policies and regulations governing waste management in urban areas to identify gaps and barriers to effective implementation. Key objectives of the research include evaluating the efficiency of waste collection and disposal systems, assessing the level of community awareness and participation in waste management initiatives, and analyzing the economic and environmental benefits of implementing sustainable waste management practices.
