This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas. The study focuses on evaluating current waste management strategies and their impact on the environment, public health, and overall sustainability of urban communities. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research identifies key challenges and opportunities in waste management practices, highlighting the importance of adopting sustainable approaches. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two delves into a detailed literature review, analyzing ten key studies and reports related to sustainable waste management practices in urban areas. The literature review explores various approaches, technologies, and best practices for waste management, shedding light on successful case studies and innovative solutions. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations. The methodology section aims to provide a clear framework for conducting the research and analyzing the data effectively. Chapter Four presents the findings of the research, discussing seven key items related to the effectiveness of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas. The discussion includes an analysis of the data collected, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities identified during the study. In Chapter Five, the conclusion and summary of the research project are presented, summarizing the key findings, implications, and recommendations for future research and practice.
