The rapid escalation of climate change has become a critical concern globally, with implications for biodiversity conservation strategies in protected areas. This research project aims to assess the impact of climate change on biodiversity conservation strategies in protected areas, focusing on understanding the challenges faced and proposing adaptive measures to mitigate these impacts. Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical data collection, this study investigates the current state of biodiversity conservation strategies in protected areas, identifies the specific threats posed by climate change, and evaluates the effectiveness of existing adaptation and mitigation measures. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, highlighting the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key areas related to climate change impacts on biodiversity conservation strategies in protected areas. This chapter synthesizes existing knowledge, identifies gaps in the literature, and sets the foundation for the empirical investigation. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study. This chapter also discusses the theoretical framework guiding the research and justifies the chosen methodology for data collection and analysis. In Chapter Four, the findings of the research are discussed in detail, focusing on the impact of climate change on biodiversity conservation strategies in protected areas.
