The findings reveal a pattern of obfuscation and misinformation perpetuated by industrial entities seeking to protect their financial interests at the expense of public and environmental health. By utilizing strategies such as greenwashing, lobbying, and the manipulation of scientific research, industries have effectively obscured the true extent of their pollution and its impacts on communities and ecosystems. Moreover, this research sheds light on the complicity of regulatory bodies and government agencies in perpetuating deceit and denial surrounding industrial pollution. The revolving door between industry and regulatory agencies, along with lax enforcement of environmental regulations, has enabled polluting industries to operate with impunity and evade accountability for their actions.
