This research project explores the implementation of a social enterprise model as a strategy for promoting sustainable development in underserved communities. The study aims to address the challenges faced by these communities by leveraging the potential of social entrepreneurship to create positive social impact and foster long-term economic growth. Through a comprehensive literature review, the project examines the theoretical foundations of social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and the role of social enterprises in addressing societal issues. The research methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Surveys, interviews, and case studies will be conducted to gather insights from key stakeholders, including social entrepreneurs, community members, and policymakers. The research will also analyze existing social enterprises operating in underserved communities to identify best practices and potential areas for improvement. Findings from the study will be discussed in detail in Chapter Four, highlighting the key outcomes, challenges, and opportunities associated with implementing a social enterprise model for sustainable development.
