Project Abstract

This project aims to investigate the impact of technology integration on the learning outcomes and engagement of students in economics classrooms. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial to understand how the integration of various technological tools and resources can enhance the teaching and learning of economics, a subject that is often perceived as complex and challenging by many students. The increasing availability and accessibility of educational technologies, such as interactive digital simulations, online data visualization tools, and cloud-based collaborative platforms, have the potential to transform the way economics is taught and learned. By leveraging these technologies, educators can create more engaging and interactive learning experiences, facilitate data-driven analysis, and foster a deeper understanding of economic concepts and their real-world applications. This study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, to evaluate the effectiveness of technology integration in economics classrooms. The research will involve a longitudinal study of multiple economics courses, where the integration of technology will be systematically implemented and its impact on student learning, engagement, and overall academic performance will be assessed. The project will gather data from various sources, including pre- and post-intervention assessments, student surveys, classroom observations, and interviews with both students and educators.
