Contraceptive use among female university students is a critical area of study due to its implications for reproductive health, educational outcomes, and overall well-being. This research project aims to explore the patterns, factors, and perceptions surrounding contraceptive use among this specific demographic group. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The quantitative survey will assess the prevalence of contraceptive use among female university students, the types of contraceptives used, frequency of use, and sources of information. Additionally, the survey will investigate factors influencing contraceptive use, such as knowledge, access, affordability, social norms, and cultural beliefs. Qualitative interviews will delve deeper into the experiences, attitudes, and perceptions of female students regarding contraceptive use. These interviews will provide valuable insights into the reasons behind contraceptive choices, barriers to access, challenges faced in obtaining contraceptives, and the role of peers, family, and healthcare providers in decision-making processes.
