Abstract
This research study aims to investigate the impact of minimum wage policies on employment rates in developing countries. The issue of minimum wage has been a topic of debate among policymakers, economists, and the public, with arguments both in favor of and against its implementation. Developing countries face unique challenges in setting and enforcing minimum wage policies, often balancing the need to improve living standards with concerns about potential negative effects on employment levels. This study will contribute to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between minimum wage policies and employment rates in developing countries. The research will be guided by the following objectives to examine the background of minimum wage policies in developing countries, to identify the problem statement regarding the impact of minimum wage on employment, to determine the specific objectives of the study, to highlight the limitations and scope of the research, to assess the significance of the study, to present the structure of the research, and to provide definitions of key terms used in the study. Chapter two will consist of a comprehensive literature review covering 10 key items related to minimum wage policies and their impact on employment rates in developing countries. This section will analyze existing research, theories, and empirical findings to provide a theoretical framework for the study. Chapter three will focus on the research methodology, including at least 8 contents such as research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The study will utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the impact of minimum wage policies on employment rates. Chapter four will present the discussion of findings, including 7 key items that will explore the results of the analysis and provide insights into the relationship between minimum wage policies and employment rates in developing countries. This section will discuss the implications of the findings and offer recommendations for policymakers and future research directions. In conclusion, this research study will provide valuable insights into the impact of minimum wage policies on employment rates in developing countries. By examining the existing literature, conducting empirical analysis, and presenting key findings, this study aims to contribute to the ongoing debate on minimum wage policies and inform policy decisions in developing countries.
