Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a crucial role in the economic development of developing countries by injecting capital, technology, and expertise into their economies. This research study aims to investigate the impact of FDI on economic growth in developing countries, focusing on the various factors that influence this relationship. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of economic data with qualitative insights from key stakeholders in the FDI process. Chapter One of the study provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two comprises a comprehensive literature review that examines existing theories and empirical studies on the relationship between FDI and economic growth. The review will cover ten key themes, including the motives for FDI, host country policies, technology transfer, and spillover effects. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and analytical tools. The chapter will also discuss ethical considerations, potential biases, and limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, analyzing the impact of FDI on economic growth in developing countries based on the data collected and the results of statistical analyses. The chapter will delve into seven key findings, highlighting the positive and negative effects of FDI on economic growth. Finally, Chapter Five presents the conclusion and summary of the research findings, drawing implications for policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders. The chapter will discuss the practical implications of the study, identify areas for further research, and offer recommendations for maximizing the positive impact of FDI on economic growth in developing countries.
