Project Abstract

<p> This study aims to investigate the potential of vertical farming in urban crop production. Vertical farming, the practice of growing crops in vertically stacked layers, often in controlled environments, has gained attention as a sustainable approach to meeting the food demands of urban populations. By utilizing innovative technologies such as hydroponics, aeroponics, and artificial lighting, vertical farming offers opportunities for year-round crop production with minimal land and water usage. The research will involve case studies and feasibility assessments of vertical farming systems in urban settings, with a focus on crop productivity, resource efficiency, and economic viability. By evaluating the benefits and challenges of vertical farming, this study seeks to provide insights into its potential for sustainable urban agriculture. <br></p>
