The geopolitics of knowledge has been a prominent subject of discussion in academic circles, particularly within the field of postcolonial studies. This research project delves into the intricate dynamics of how knowledge production, dissemination, and representation are deeply intertwined with power structures and geopolitical interests. By focusing on the challenge of postcolonial agency, the study seeks to uncover the complexities and nuances that shape the global landscape of knowledge production. One of the key aspects explored in this research is the historical legacy of colonialism and its enduring impact on the construction of knowledge systems. The project examines how colonial powers imposed their epistemological frameworks on colonized societies, leading to the marginalization and erasure of indigenous knowledge systems. By analyzing this historical context, the study sheds light on the persistent inequalities and power imbalances that continue to influence knowledge production today. Furthermore, the research project investigates the role of Western academic institutions and publishing houses in shaping dominant narratives and controlling the circulation of knowledge.
