Project Abstract

Revolutionizing Urban Mobility The rapid urbanization and increasing population in cities worldwide have led to a significant rise in the number of vehicles on the roads, resulting in persistent traffic congestion, air pollution, and safety concerns. Traditional traffic management systems often struggle to keep pace with the dynamic nature of urban traffic, leading to inefficient resource allocation and suboptimal transportation solutions. This project aims to address these challenges by developing an (ITMS) that leverages cutting-edge technologies to optimize traffic flow, enhance public safety, and promote sustainable mobility. At the core of the ITMS is a comprehensive data-driven approach that integrates a network of sensors, smart infrastructure, and advanced analytics. By deploying a dense network of video cameras, loop detectors, and other sensing devices across the road network, the system will collect real-time data on traffic patterns, vehicle movements, and environmental conditions. This data will be processed and analyzed using machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence techniques to provide accurate traffic forecasting, incident detection, and dynamic traffic signal optimization. One of the key features of the ITMS is its ability to adapt to changing traffic conditions in real-time.
