Project Abstract

This project aims to investigate the profound influence of social media on the language acquisition and usage patterns of millennials, a generation that has come of age in the digital era. The ubiquity of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, has revolutionized the way we communicate, interact, and express ourselves, with significant implications for the evolution of language. Millennials, born between the early 1980s and the late 1990s, have been immersed in digital technologies from a young age, shaping their linguistic development and communication styles. This study seeks to uncover the ways in which social media has impacted the acquisition, usage, and evolution of language among this dynamic demographic. One of the primary objectives of this project is to examine the linguistic patterns and trends emerging on social media platforms.
