This research study delves into the assessment of the impact of co-operative business models on economic development in rural communities. Co-operative economics and management play a significant role in fostering sustainable development and economic growth, particularly in rural areas where traditional business models may not be as effective. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the extent to which co-operative business models contribute to economic development in rural communities, considering factors such as employment generation, income distribution, community empowerment, and overall socio-economic progress. The research methodology employed for this study includes a comprehensive literature review to establish the theoretical framework and background information on co-operative business models, economic development, and rural communities. Additionally, a mixed-method approach will be used to collect and analyze primary data through surveys, interviews, and case studies in selected rural areas. The data analysis will involve both quantitative and qualitative techniques to provide a holistic understanding of the impact of co-operative business models on economic development. The findings of this research are expected to shed light on the various ways in which co-operative business models contribute to economic development in rural communities.
