Concrete is the most widely used construction material in the world, and with the increasing focus on sustainability and high-performance buildings, there is a growing need to optimize concrete mix designs. This research project aims to investigate and develop an optimized concrete mix design that can enhance the sustainability and performance of buildings. The study will explore various factors such as the use of alternative materials, proportions of ingredients, curing methods, and additives to achieve the desired properties of concrete. The research will be divided into five chapters. Chapter One will introduce the research topic, provide background information on the study, define the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and key terms. Chapter Two will present a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to concrete mix design optimization for sustainable high-performance buildings.
