Sustainable supply chain management practices have gained increasing attention in recent years as businesses strive to balance environmental, social, and economic considerations in their operations. This research project focuses on the implementation of sustainable supply chain management practices in a small business setting, aiming to investigate the challenges, benefits, and strategies associated with such initiatives. The study will adopt a qualitative research approach, utilizing interviews, surveys, and case studies to gather data from small businesses that have implemented sustainable supply chain practices. The research will be structured into five chapters. Chapter One provides an introduction to the topic, presents the background of the study, defines the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the research, as well as the definition of key terms. Chapter Two conducts a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing research on sustainable supply chain management practices in small business settings. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, sampling methods, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. It also includes a discussion on ethical considerations and potential limitations of the research approach. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, discussing the challenges faced, benefits realized, and strategies employed by small businesses in implementing sustainable supply chain practices. The study aims to provide valuable insights for small business owners, managers, and policymakers on the practical implications of adopting sustainable supply chain management practices. By understanding the key factors that influence the successful implementation of these practices, small businesses can enhance their competitiveness, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to sustainable development.
