This research aims to investigate the integration of sustainable design principles in urban development projects to promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The study will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with incorporating sustainable building design practices in urban development, with a particular emphasis on the importance of green building technologies and strategies. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the foundation for the research by emphasizing the growing importance of sustainable building design in urban development projects. Chapter Two consists of a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies, theories, and practices related to sustainable building design principles in urban development. The literature review covers ten key areas, including sustainability in urban planning, green building technologies, sustainable design strategies, and best practices in sustainable urban development. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in this study, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The chapter outlines the steps taken to gather and analyze data to address the research objectives effectively.
