Abstract
Climate change poses a significant threat to global biodiversity, with tropical rainforests being particularly vulnerable due to their high levels of species diversity and specialization. This research project investigates the effects of climate change on plant biodiversity in a tropical rainforest ecosystem. The study aims to assess how changing climatic conditions, such as temperature increases, altered precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events, impact plant species composition, distribution, and abundance within the ecosystem. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to climate change impacts on plant biodiversity in tropical rainforests. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including study design, data collection techniques, sampling methods, and data analysis procedures. The findings of this study, discussed in Chapter 4, highlight the diverse responses of plant species to climate change in the tropical rainforest ecosystem. Changes in species composition, shifts in distribution patterns, and alterations in community structure are observed as a result of changing climatic conditions.
