Climate change is a significant global issue affecting various ecosystems, including tropical forests. This research project focuses on investigating the impacts of climate change on plant phenology within a tropical forest ecosystem. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how changing climate patterns influence the timing of plant life cycle events, such as flowering, fruiting, and leaf shedding, in tropical forests. Chapter One of the research project provides an introduction to the topic, including background information on climate change and its potential effects on plant phenology. The chapter also presents the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms related to the research. Chapter Two consists of a detailed literature review that explores existing studies and research findings related to climate change impacts on plant phenology in tropical forest ecosystems. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current knowledge and gaps in understanding regarding this topic. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study.
