Project Abstract

Abstract
The rapid expansion of telecommunication networks worldwide has led to an increasing number of telecommunication masts being erected in urban and rural areas. These masts emit non-ionizing radiation, raising concerns about potential health effects on the surrounding population. Public awareness of the health effects of radiation emitted from telecommunication masts is essential for informed decision-making and risk mitigation. This research project aims to assess the level of public awareness regarding the health effects of radiation from telecommunication masts. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized, including surveys and interviews with residents living in proximity to telecommunication masts. The surveys will gather quantitative data on knowledge levels, concerns, and behaviors related to radiation exposure from telecommunication masts. The interviews will provide qualitative insights into the perceptions and experiences of individuals regarding the health effects of radiation. The findings of this study will contribute to our understanding of public awareness of the health effects of radiation from telecommunication masts and help identify gaps in knowledge and communication.
